Strange Bedfellows

Twice a year we invite artists to get messed up in one another's affairs. We pair them up with someone they haven't worked with before, from a different artistic discipline and background, and give them three weeks to work on a project together.

strange bedfellows is an exploration of the intersections between different art forms and the magic that can happen when we are forced to step out of our habitual ways of creating ...

groups of artists are invited to work together for a two-week period in which their different art forms, backgrounds, approaches, media and processes rub up against one another and create sparks … or friction … magic … or mayhem … chaos … beauty … expressions of the ineffable … expressions of the mundane … things that cannot be named … things that give birth to other things … wondrous mistakes … unexpected epiphanies … a mess ... or just the germ of an idea …

at the end of the two weeks, an audience is invited to witness the results of this beautiful experiment … to share in the evolution of ideas … to become guinea pigs … to support the development of new ways of creating … to be amazed and inspired … or disappointed and aggrieved … by the successes and failures of the great experiment that is art-making …
