A ten day long festival programme packed to the crater rim with activities, Lyttelton style! From wine tastings, coffee tours and interactive culinary evenings to historical walks, photographic and art exhibitions, a bio-diverse gardening display to a picnic for your puppets, funky bands and a chance to up-cycle your old clothes, the Lyttelton Summer Festival is set to be Christchurch’s must-attend ten day festival of the summer.

NZ’s first SWAP-O-RAMA-RAMA 11am-4pm SATURDAY FEB 20th a clothing swap where you can create new delights from old treasures. Workshops, design stations plus a cat walk if you are keen. PUPPETRY PICNIC 12.30pm-3.30pm SUN FEB 21 have a picnic on the lawn, enjoy 2 puppet shows & a workshop ,bring your own puppet or create one on the day, interact with the roving puppets whilst you picnic. Performances by Natural Magic and Thumbs Up Puppetry $5 per show or workshops. Shows times are 1pm & 2.45pm, workshop at 2pm

EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC 1pm SUN FEB 21 Borderline Radio presents a performance of experimental music over several floors of the Timeball Station (timed to commence when the Timeball drops at 1pm). Performances by Stanier Black-Five, Peter Wright, and other local musicians will include recordings taken from the Timeball Station itself $7
