Lyttelton, portal to Canterbury’s historic past, a vibrant sustainable community creating a living future

Nicole Foss Talk

Nicole Foss talkBuilding local resilience in an era of economic turmoil and resource depletion

Public Talk: Tuesday 27th March at the Naval Point Club 5pm

Nicole Foss says a combination of energy shortages, climate change, population growth, food insecurity and political unrest were brewing a ''perfect storm'' that would ruin society as we know it.

We in Lyttelton are privileged to have the speaker Nicole Foss and her writing partner Roel Illargi in our community on Tuesday 27 March. They are in New Zealand on their "Life Boat" tour. I believe it is important that we all make every effort to hear and engage in dialogue with Nicole.

There is a public meeting (koha accepted) at the Naval Club on Tuesday 27 March at 5.00pm. If you are unable to make that Nicole is offering to be/speak with people at other times as well during the day. Just contact me if this is the case and I can schedule in a time.

Nicole Foss (pen name Stoneleigh)  is  a  significant  thinker and speaker on topics  of finance, energy and  related topics  with  a  well justified  international reputation through her  widespread   speaking engagements  and her  co-editorship  of the blog "The Automatic Earth," which integrates finance, energy, environment, psychology, population and real politik. She is a   former editor of "The Oil Drum Canada".

Her talk is about preparing families and communities for the challenging times ahead.

I do hope you can  be part of this conversation.

Warm regards

Margaret
